Hiking

Kyrgyzstan is a country with a rich natural habitat so vast that trekking possibilities are unlimited. You’ll get to see the most interesting spots of the country only on foot. If you want to go hiking, come from May to September to enjoy the best weather conditions and discover the traditions of the nomadic life. You can spend your nights under your tent or under shepherds’ yurts.

Kyrgyzstan is a country mostly made up of high mountains. It has incredible landscapes and panoramas with very high summits, including the Khan Tengri and the Peak Pobeda.

Its Tian Shan and Pamir mountain ranges are ideal for trekking and to get to know the country on foot.

Many beautiful mountain lakes also offer a great opportunity to enjoy the Kyrgyz wilderness. The Issyk Kul Lake, located at around 1,600 m (5,249 ft) altitude and surrounded by beautiful high summits and natural reserves protecting a unique ecosystem, is the largest lake in Kyrgyzstan.
