Kok zhaiyk valley

Kok Zhaiyk or Kek-Jaiyk is a valley located in the vicinity of the Jeti-Oguz Gorge , in the region of Issyk-kul, at an altitude of 2,800 meters. It is characterized by its beauty made up of spruce forests.

Jailoo Kok Zhaiyk , called the valley of flowers, is located 5 km south of the Jeti-Oguz seaside resort. The valley is covered in red colors thanks to the flowering of poppies fields from May and up to the early summer. The Valley extends over an approximate length of 15 km, and many visitors use this relaxing place to pitch their tent. Hiking is an excellent way to discover this space abounding in greenery. According to some reports, during the Soviet period, cosmonauts were sent to the Kok Zhaiyk's flower valley to rest after their missions in space.
