Our story
Kyrgyz'What? was born from a deep attachment to the high pastures of the Tian Shan and to this resilient nomadic culture, where the yurt remains a summer home and the horse a daily companion.
In 2011, Alina, an English-speaking guide passionate about her country, founded her own agency in Bishkek after several years spent in the field. With a solid network throughout Kyrgyzstan and recognized expertise in trekking as well as horseback riding, she designed original itineraries, away from beaten paths. In 2014, her meeting with Sylvain, founder of Horseback Mongolia, marked a turning point. Seduced by the Kyrgyz landscapes and culture that reminded him of Mongolia, he partnered with her to create Kyrgyz'What?, an English-speaking agency dedicated to adventure travel and cultural encounters.
Today, it's Alina who coordinates the team in Bishkek. Alongside her, Talaï, Barkit and Nazira design each itinerary with the same requirement: listen, understand, adjust — from trekking at the foot of Lenin Peak to weeks on horseback in the jailoo, through stays with herding families.

Yes, as much as possible. Changes made more than 30 days before departure are generally free of charge (excluding hotel rate differences). As your departure approaches, some bookings become less flexible — we always inform you of your options before confirmation.
