In the Semionovka Valley north of Lake Issyk-Kul, at Kirchin, a family of herders welcomes you beneath their yurt in a deeply relaxing setting. They live here year-round with their horses and invite guests to spend the night under their yurt or in the house.

Inside the yurt, you can sleep on the ground like true nomads or on beds, as you prefer. Toilets and shower facilities are outside.

It's one of the finest places to taste kumys, the national drink, as horses graze year-round in this fertile valley. The cuisine prepared by this family is exceptional.
