The spirit of travel

This journey to Kirghizistan is an invitation to experience a long-distance horseback adventure, at the pace of horses and the vast Central Asian landscapes. Between autonomous riding, high-altitude scenery and human encounters, you traverse a country where nature still dictates the rhythm and where nomadic traditions remain deeply rooted.

From the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul to the high plateaus of Ak-Shyrak, from verdant valleys to mountain passes, you progress on horseback through contrasting, often wild, always powerful panoramas. The journey is punctuated by moments of sharing with Kyrgyz families, nights in yurts, cultural discoveries such as falconry, yurt-making or the epic tales of the Manas.

Designed for travelers comfortable on horseback and in good physical condition, this experience blends local immersion, pristine nature and Kyrgyz culture, in a spirit of sincere and respectful adventure.

Discovery of the first landscapes around Issyk-Kul

You leave early in the morning to reach the small town of Kyzyl Suu, the starting point of your horseback ride.

On the way, you stop to visit the ruins of the Burana Minaret, an ancient Jami mosque destroyed in the 13th century during the Tatar invasions. You then climb to the top of the minaret, from where you enjoy a clear view of the surrounding countryside. The visit continues with the associated museum, which allows you to better understand the history of the site.

You skirt Lake Issyk-Kul (1,609 meters above sea level), the world's second largest alpine lake. This vast expanse of water, comparable to an inland sea, is considered the pearl of Kirghizistan. Surrounded by the Tian Shan mountain range, the lake reflects the snow-capped peaks rising above 5,000 meters. From the surrounding mountains, numerous rivers join the lake by crossing valleys with varied landscapes.

You visit the Skaska canyon, whose name means "fairy tale" in Kyrgyz. Its multicolored rock formations dominate Lake Issyk-Kul. Born from ancient volcanic eruptions, these natural sculptures with varied shapes evoke landscapes worthy of a fairy tale.
