This circuit in Kirghizistan invites you to explore a country of mountains, vast spaces and nomadic traditions, through an adventure combining nature, culture and local immersion. From the Silk Road to high-altitude lakes, you take the time to discover a still-preserved territory, where landscapes succeed one another without ever resembling each other.
After an initial cultural approach between historical heritage and local craftsmanship, the itinerary takes you towards more isolated regions. The Tach Rabat caravanserai opens the way to a progression towards the south, as far as the spectacular Kel Suu Lake, nestled at over 3,500 metres altitude. Further on, the shores of Son-Kul Lake offer suspended time, punctuated by the life of herders and daily life under the yurt.
Between mountain tracks, authentic encounters and cultural discoveries, this journey offers a genuine immersion in the heart of Kirghizistan, in a convivial and respectful atmosphere.

Arrival in Kyrgyzstan and first visits
Aéroport International De Manas → Bishkek
Upon your arrival at Manas International Airport, your driver welcomes you warmly and accompanies you as soon as you exit.
You then take the road for your transfer to your hotel, where you can settle in peacefully and rest after your flight.
You stop to visit the ruins of the Burana Minaret, an ancient Jami mosque destroyed in the 13th century during the Tatar invasions. You then climb to the top of the minaret, where you enjoy a clear view of the surrounding countryside. The visit continues with the associated museum, which allows you to better understand the history of the site.
You head back onto the main road towards the village of Kochkor, renowned for its local development initiatives.
You visit the women's cooperative, where traditional felt carpets (sherdaks) are made, testifying to the region's artisanal expertise.
In the evening, you attend a traditional Kyrgyz folk show. On the program: a Manas storyteller, traditional music and songs that immerse you in the country's epic and legends.
Visit of Tach Rabat on the Silk Road

Travel back in time with a visit to the ancient Tach Rabat Caravanserai. Located on the road to Khasgar, the Tach Rabat caravanserai, the Stone Hotel, is probably the best-preserved site on the Silk Road, and you will be able to feel its original atmosphere here. Dating from the 15th century, it contained many rooms used to shelter merchants.

Tach Rabat → Kel-Suu
This morning, you head towards the Kel Suu Lake. You set course south passing by Chatyr Kul Lake. Beyond that, the route takes a winding road and crosses a wooden suspension bridge, before reaching the Kel Suu valley.
If weather conditions permit, you cross the river. As you approach the Chinese border, you complete the necessary registration formalities to continue your itinerary.

Horseback riding to Lake Kel-Suu
After breakfast, you take time to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. On horseback, you head towards this small lake nestled in the heart of the mountains. The turquoise waters of Kel-Suu then appear, in a peaceful environment. Isolated at 3,514 meters altitude, between rocky cliffs and natural caves, this body of water gradually reveals itself to you.
Relaxing day in Naryn
Kel-Suu → Naryn
You resume the "road" towards Naryn. The route is more accessible, with the crossing of a small pass. Along the way, you meet shepherds as well as a few herds of yaks.
Arrival in the city of Naryn, a charming town nestled in the middle of the mountains and crossed by the Naryn River. You will find some comfort here, and will be able to take a real shower before continuing our Kyrgyz adventure.

On the banks of Lake Son Kul
Arrival on the banks of the Son Kul Lake, one of the great natural treasures of Kyrgyzstan. This immense alpine lake is the country's main freshwater reserve. Located in the heart of the Tian Shan mountains, it stretches out at 3,016 meters altitude and has long fueled travelers' imagination. Depending on the light and weather conditions, its crystalline waters change color, ranging from blue to green, sometimes with orange hues.
Day 7
You take advantage of this day to relax and discover the lifestyle of the family welcoming you. You can watch the preparation of kumiss, the gathering of herds or even the milking of cows.
After lunch, you set off on a short horseback ride.
Landscape along the Kokomeren River
You follow the beautiful Kokomeren river. You head towards the small village of Kyzyl-Oi.
After your arrival, you take a tour to discover the surroundings.
Return to Bishkek and city discoveries.
Arrival in the Soussamir Valley, where you discover vast landscapes characteristic of Kirghizistan. Last day of travel before reaching the Kyrgyz capital.
You leave the lush mountains of Kirghizistan, marked by traditions that remain deeply rooted, and arrive in Bishkek.
Installation at your hotel, with rest time to relax. You head to the Och Bazar of Bishkek, one of the liveliest markets in Kyrgyzstan. Stalls of dried fruits and spices punctuate your visit with Central Asian colors, and you will also find many traditional souvenirs from the country.
Stroll through Ala-Too Square, in the center of Bishkek. A meeting place for Kyrgyz youth, it comes alive every evening with many strollers. This square has also been the stage for several significant events in the country's history.
Dive into the history of Kyrgyzstan with a visit to the National History Museum. You will discover a rich past steeped in traditions: the first floor is dedicated to secular Kyrgyz culture, while the second recounts the major events of the Soviet period.

Passport
To enter Kyrgyzstan, your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from the date of entry and must contain at least one blank page for immigration stamps.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn, or altered pages).
Tourism entry requirements
Entry requirements for tourism stays depend on your nationality and the applicable bilateral agreements between Kyrgyzstan and your country of citizenship.
Verify the specific conditions with the embassy or consulate of Kyrgyzstan in your country of residence to determine whether you require a visa or whether an exemption applies, and the maximum duration of stay permitted.
The authorities may request:
an exit ticket from the territory (return flight or onward travel),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay,
a confirmation of accommodation booking.
Registration with local authorities
Any traveller staying in Kyrgyzstan is required to register with the immigration services within five working days of arrival.
In practice, this registration is generally completed automatically by the hotel or accommodation provider. If staying with a private individual (private rental, host family), it is the responsibility of the host or the traveller to complete this formality at the local registration office (ОВИР).
It is advisable to keep a copy of the registration certificate, which may be requested during police checks or when leaving the territory.
Travel with children
Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay.
When a minor travels without one of their parents, an authorization to leave the territory may be required according to the regulations of the country of residence.
Health and vaccines
No vaccination is mandatory to enter Kyrgyzstan. However, certain vaccinations are recommended for preventive purposes, including:
typhoid and hepatitis A, due to local sanitary conditions,
rabies, particularly for travellers planning activities in rural or mountainous areas,
tick-borne encephalitis, for hikers visiting forested or high-altitude areas.
It is advisable to consult a doctor or international vaccination centre before departure.
